General responsibilities of the position :
In a manufacturing environment at the cutting edge of technology, the successful candidate will be required to work from drawings, work methods, sketches or verbal instructions, to produce parts of varying degrees of complexity according to instructions from the supervisor or team leader. The Finishing Bench Mechanic will be working on a wide variety of engine parts of different designs and using different types of materials.
The Finishing Bench Mechanic will use the required tools to make parts and perform various operations including drilling, deburring, scraping, filing and polishing. He will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of parts during the manufacturing process.
Specific responsibilities of position :
May be required to participate in developing new parts or procedures for the selection of methods and tools.
Wash, store, package and move parts, while ensuring that standards and specifications are met.
Work as part of a team, but work with a high level of autonomy. Participate in training and share knowledge with team mates.
Organize and keep the workstation in order at all times and respect our high standards regarding occupational health and safety.
