General responsibilities of the position :
You will provide leadership and direction for the P804 project team in the development and execution of the overall project integrated master schedule. You will work with other UTC divisions and suppliers to integrate all hybrid electric engine and aircraft workstreams to the overall program milestones at the aircraft level. You will provide sound advice and guidance on program schedule alternatives to maximize use of test facility and test resources and to cater to design changes during the program with innovative and speed-oriented solutions.
Specific responsibilities of position :
• Work with multiple key UTC stakeholders and UTAP suppliers in the execution of the overall P804 program test plan at the aircraft level
• Prepare and take ownership of a consolidated P804 project plan that includes the overall program milestones, and test activities on the hybrid electric engine components and aircraft across all sites.
• Coordinate activities across all UTAP and supplier sites to track progress against milestones, sequence program activities, establish realistic durations, schedule variances, and manage critical path activities.
• Perform schedule risk analysis and identify options, in collaborations with UTAP suppliers, to resolve critical path issues and logistical conflicts.
• Provide schedule support for program meetings and working groups, and chair integrated master schedule meetings, as required.
• Work with other UTC employees, contractors and suppliers as resources to accomplish the above objectives, leveraging their expertise and resources, as required.
• Willingness to travel to UTC divisions and UTAP suppliers as required.
Qualifications required :
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an aerospace-related Engineering discipline with 8 to 10 years experience.
• Demonstrated history of success in multiple positions of increasing scope and responsibility, with a significant duration of experience and expertise spanning the full qualifications of this role
• Strong project management experience with a focus on logistics in a diverse supply chain
• Expert level on MS Project or Primavera, knowledge of JIRA an asset.
• Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to deal with ambiguous situations, highly dynamic environments, and lead across multiple organizations
• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally to suppliers and UTC sites
