General responsibilities of the position :
• Where necessary, provide a quality monitoring service for the accessory service and repair lines.
• Solve problems in order to maintain the quality of work and the flow of materials.
• Perform mechanical operations such as simple deburring, fixing the locking wire and decoupling units in order to maintain the continuous flow of materials.
• Participate in the development of new processes, products and turnbacks for the selection of methods and tools. Wash, store, package, identify and move parts, while ensuring that standards and specifications are observed.
• Maintain their equipment and keep their work environment clean and in good condition.
• Participate in training and share knowledge of the various tasks and equipment with colleagues.
• Perform other similar tasks that are of less or equal complexity to the functions mentioned above.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and uphold established scheduling concepts.
• Work in collaboration with other trades and carry out related tasks.
Specific responsibilities of position :
• Ensure that repair processes have been carried out in accordance with technical specifications.
• Work from instructions such as sketch layout drawings and overhaul or servicing manuals. Perform visual and dimensional checks of engine accessories, ensuring that they are configured correctly and scheduled using the service bulletins.
• Verify the results of tests previously carried out on the engine accessories. Verify the check lists and reworking labels to determine and certify that the work has been completed in compliance with the processes. Issue the certificate of airworthiness.
• Complete any required documentation. Perform necessary computer operations to track parts. Update the various appropriate parameter logs in order to establish efficient operations using statistical process control. Review statistics and make decisions regarding the continuity of operations. Report and record the non-compliant condition of parts or non-compliance with the audit requirements of the quality department.
Qualifications required :
• College diploma in aeronautics or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in the field of aeronautics.
• Proficiency in French (oral and written) and English (written).
• Flair for problem solving and an analytical mind.
• SAP proficiency is an asset.
