General responsibilities of the position :
Create, check and use CMM programmes to measure features on different types of parts. Interpret inspection reports, drawings and specifications to ensure that the dimensions of parts are compliant. Plan, set, adjust and use precision measuring instruments for dimensional inspections in order to optimize operations.
Perform mathematical calculations necessary for inspection using geometric tolerances. Participate in quality review surveys. Identify faults and sort parts that do not comply with the specifications.
Prepare inspection reports. Perform necessary computer operations to track parts. Monitor and complete documentation after ensuring that parts comply with all standards and specifications; may sometimes relocate parts using appropriate equipment. Update the appropriate parameter logs in order to establish efficient operations using statistical process control.
Specific responsibilities of position :
Qualifications required :
• College diploma in mechanical engineering or aircraft construction (Aerospace engineering)
• IT knowledge: MS Outlook and SAP an asset
• Experience with CMM and metrology (five years)
• Very good ability to read drawings
• Proficiency in French (oral and written) — knowledge of English an asset
• High level of autonomy and resourcefulness
• Interpersonal skills: team player and positive attitude
• Flair for problem solving and an analytical mind
• Experience in an industrial environment
