Area of Expertise:
Performance of research, design, and development in such areas as mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat transfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Application of research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
Includes gas turbines, automotive engineering, boilers and steam engineering, air conditioning machine design, lubrication engineering, refrigeration and welding.
Level of Responsibility:
· Assigned to small projects or discreet tasks within functional discipline.
· Depends upon others for guidance and direction.
· Still learning the fundamentals of the discipline and role.
· Typically has limited experience within discipline.
· Understands key concepts in their discipline.
Specific responsibilities of position :
You will be part of a team of specialists in mechanical design of turbomachinery components. You
•Design mechanical systems for new engines.
•Plan, schedule and coordinate design and analytical activities.
•Solve mechanical design problems on existing engines.
•Produce engineering documents to communicate solutions to mechanical design problem.
Additional Requirements :
•To have completed a mechanical or aeronautical engineering degree
•Experience in aeronautics (asset)
•Experience with preparation and readings of engineering drawings
•Strong communication skills
•Analytical thinking, teamwork

•Bilingualism spoken and written (strong asset)
