General Responsibilities of the Function

Pratt & Whitney Canada is currently recruiting for an experienced manager in export compliance to serve as a member of the P&WC Operations Export Trade Compliance Group. The main responsibility of this position is to proactive development and implement strategies, processes, standard work, work instructions, and training to ensure P&W's ongoing compliance with all export laws, regulations and UTC/P&W policies related to the export of technology, technical data, commodities (including products and parts), software, and services (items). The incumbent will actively participate in ACE process improvement activities led by the International Trade Compliance Group and will help develop common process approaches for use by all P&W organizations and disciplines.
Specific Responsibilities of the Position

The selected candidate will: Interact with PWC Business Units and other PWC organizations to understand PWC's products, technology, software, and services (including third party items). Assist the organizations with determining the export classification and export authority for exporting those items. Performing a regulatory analysis to determine the appropriate classification and export authority for each item by using technical knowledge of PWC products & items. Provide internal customers with day-to-day guidance in export compliance subject matter areas. Coordinate with PWC organizations to help develop, implement, and manage tailored export compliance systems, processes, and procedures using continuous improvement tools. Contribute to the strategic identification of compliance risks, conducting audits, and assisting with the development of plans to eliminate and/or mitigate risks.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Bachelor degree in Legal, Management, Operations or Business Administration or any related field 3-4 years experience in managing export compliance activities Project Management Skills Qualify for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Microsoft office suite SAP knowledge (an asset)
